Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing and using Trio ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not install or use the App. These Terms apply to all merchants who install Trio from the Shopify App Store.
2. Description of Service
Trio is a Shopify application that provides three integrated services:
- Product Reviews: Collection, moderation, and display of customer product reviews with photo support.
- Email Marketing: Email campaign creation, automated email flows, and subscriber management.
- Loyalty & Rewards: Points-based loyalty program with reward tiers and automatic discount code generation.
3. Account and Installation
To use Trio, you must have an active Shopify store. Installation is performed through the Shopify App Store using Shopify's standard OAuth authentication process. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account.
4. Plans and Billing
4.1 Free Plan
The Free plan includes up to 20 reviews, 100 emails per month, basic loyalty features, and standard review widgets. The Free plan displays a "Powered by Trio" badge on your storefront.
4.2 Pro Plan
The Pro plan costs $19 USD per month and includes unlimited reviews, unlimited emails, full loyalty program features, photo reviews, automated emails, JSON-LD SEO, CSV import, no branding, and priority support. The Pro plan includes a 14-day free trial.
4.3 Billing
All billing is processed through Shopify's Billing API. Charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through the Shopify admin.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Send spam or unsolicited emails through the email marketing features
- Post fake or misleading reviews
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers or infrastructure
- Exceed reasonable usage limits that could affect service for other merchants
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including all code, design, and documentation, is owned by Trio and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all content you create using the App, including review responses, email campaigns, and loyalty program configurations.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with applicable data protection laws, including providing appropriate notice to your customers about data collection.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Termination
You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles.
